OK... so sorry I haven't updated in so long but I've been crazy busy with Studio stuff.

Mom's surgery on the 19th went very well. She was in the OR for 8 minutes and was out of the hospital by 9:30. She's doing just fine. She's been using her hand a little more each day and she got the stitches out yesterday. Also set up her surgery for the other hand.

Relay for Life was very nice. Sorta stunk because I rained pretty much all day long, stopped just long enough to put up the tents and take them...

So, Saturday was fabulous. We got to perform in front of over 6,000 people and we rocked it out! The soloists were amazing and the group songs were great. Unfortunately during one of our songs the power cut out, but we finished it off perfectly then did two more songs a capella. By the second time through Seasons of Love we got power back and were able to use the mics again. We were so good they asked us back for next year immediately. So, I had to update really quick because I just got one of the biggest shocks. Tomorrow (Saturday) the Studio is singing for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and for the group songs there are solos that are to be sung. Usually the solos are reserved for those who have made Company, right? Well, seems that my Coach likes me enough to bend the rules a little and grant me the honor of taking a part. So, last Thursday I worked my normal job... then I set up a time with my vocal coach to meet with her. She's been getting even more stressed out lately because the concert is coming up and also the American Idol audition dates had been posted. So, after calming her down we set up a time and I was to meet her at the Studio and we'd go from there. Well, she ended up buying me dinner, a lot of it at that, and then we went over to her house. Tuesday I get an email from the Artistic Director at the theater I worked at last season. He was pretty much alluding to me working there again this season and he was checking to see how much I'd like to work. I sent him back my thoughts and concerns about it.
